These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Brush Buddies browser extension and any related pages we publish (together, the “Service”). By installing or using Brush Buddies, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Brush Buddies reminds you to brush your teeth at times you choose. It may show an on-page character, play an optional sound, and send optional system notifications. Features depend on your browser, operating system, and settings.
Brush Buddies is a habit reminder only. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. It is not a substitute for advice from a dentist, doctor, or other qualified professional. You are responsible for your own oral care decisions.
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
The extension and website may show links to third parties (e.g. Amazon for product suggestions, PayPal for optional voluntary support). Those sites are not controlled by us. Their terms and privacy policies apply. We may receive a commission on qualifying Amazon purchases. Support payments are handled entirely by the payment provider.
Brush Buddies name, branding, and extension assets are owned by the developer or licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the extension for personal, non-commercial use in line with these Terms and the Chrome Web Store policies.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT REMINDERS WILL ALWAYS FIRE ON TIME OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (TYPICALLY ZERO, AS THE EXTENSION IS FREE).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms, except where caused by our intentional misconduct.
We may update the Service or these Terms. We will post an updated “Last updated” date. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. We may discontinue the Service or remove it from the store.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EEA/UK may also have mandatory rights in their country of residence.
